Creating a Soundtrack to a Novel
About 3 years ago I began writing a short novel entitled, "Silvers Ruin" I never actually got around to finishing it. It is one of those projects that was sitting on the shelf 3/4 complete.
I find it very difficult to create music from words and also the ending of the story is not currently sitting well with me...it doesn't flow. Although it is challenging and I find it very hard to explain in words what I mean by this, but I can still see the end is near for the "Silvers Ruin" project.
Since the release of Vive Tu Muerte EP circa 2010, I have always had 3 projects going on all at once. Sometimes projects do not get released because I think it needs to live with me for a little while before I am 100 percent sure that its definitely something I can put my name on...or they just end up becoming something entirely different.
The best part about this project is I am creating a score I believe will go hand in hand with the reading. My hope is that it will actually amplify and improve the overall experience if done correctly. Most of the tracks I have created for "Silvers Ruin" could be played as a soundtrack for the novel. Here are sneak peek into what I have created for the latter part of the album. Let me know what you think?
